Go through the list of topics in the syllabus and look through the table of contents of your textbook. Which topics seem the most interesting? What would you like to learn more about?
Finding a Topic that's Just Right
How do you go from a broad topic with too much information to one that you will be able to find enough information but not too much? First, it's important to recognize how broad or narrow a topic is. Try the following exercise to see if you can put the topics in order from the broadest to the narrowest.
