Campus Tours are a great way to learn about Rio Hondo College, and to gain awareness of our beautiful campus. Student Ambassadors are trained to offer campus tours for perspective students and families, new students, and guests of the college. Please see below for important information on how to request a campus tour.
Campus Tour Schedule
In order to ensure that Student Ambassadors have a balance between academics and their roles as Student Ambassadors, Campus Tours are conducted on an as requested date and time. For school districts with groups larger than 10, we kindly request, if possible, to schedule a tour on a Friday, this allows for most students and staff to be available for larger groups. We can host tours as early as 8:00 am and as late as 4:00 pm. A secondary day during the week would be a Thursday between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm.
Our campus is currently undergoing many building renovations so our ability to host a group larger than 50 at a time is very limited. We hope this does not deter you from scheduling a tour, we can always schedule multiple days if needed.
Campus Tour Requirements
- Groups must have at least three (3) people in their group; groups with less than three people can be accommodated with a self- guided tour packet.
- Campus Tours must be scheduled at least ten (10) business days in advance; late request will not be honored
- Groups coming to campus must purchase a parking permit; parking permits will not be provided by the Student Life & Leadership Department
Please check out our Google Campus Map. Click on any location to see information and pictures of our campus.

Special Accommodations
Should your visit require consideration for a physical disability, please indicate that on the Campus Tour Request Form. For further information, please call the Student Life & Leadership Department. Please be advised that pets are not permitted on campus unless they are service dogs.
Chaperons
We are always excited to invite children of all ages to explore our campus. In order to ensure the safety of our guests as well as the integrity of our Campus Tours, we require one (1) adult chaperon for every fifteen (15) minors on each Campus Tour. We are unable to lead tours without chaperons, and groups are organized so that no more than fifteen (15) people are in each tour. In order to make the experience as wonderful as possible, we ask that our chaperons set rules and guidelines prior to attending the campus tour. Student Ambassadors will not be enforcing those rules and guidelines, and we hope to have your support with keeping the group together.
