The Student Health & Wellness Program goal is to promote student wellness by reducing the stigma of mental health issues, encouraging help seeking behaviors, and providing peer to peer support groups for our most vulnerable and high risk student populations: Veteran students, Students with Disabilities, and LGBT students. RHC strives to take a proactive approach by focusing on early intervention strategies that address the mental health needs of students and increasing student retention through teaching students how to remove psychological barriers that threaten academic achievement and personal well-being; all of which will provide a safe and supportive campus environment.
Students it is important to be mindful of good and bad health habits. As students, with busy lives, it is easy to fall into bad health habits (i.e. eating, sleeping) that can have long term effects to your overall health and your success as a student. Your physical health and nutrition are directly connected to mental health, effective study habits, and regular sleep patterns.
