External Chancellor’s Office Webinar: Universal Design, Accessibility and More – A Student-Centered Support Ecosystem for Students with Disabilities
March 2, 2022 @ 9:00 am - 10:00 am
Join us for our monthly system webinar to learn what it takes to build and strengthen a student- centered support ecosystem for students with disabilities. Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, & Accessibility (DEIA) is not a zero-sum game. When the system supports the success of students with disabilities, it supports the success of all students.
During the webinar, you will hear from impacted students about their campus experiences, particularly during the time when our institutions shifted to online instruction in response to COVID-19, and learn their direct insights on what they need to persist and thrive. DSPS and faculty leaders will introduce key concepts, highlight ongoing efforts systemwide, and demonstrate the importance of moving from a compliance approach to an ecosystem approach to ensure equitable student learning, experience, and impact, especially for students with disabilities. The speakers also will share tangible takeaways that can help the audience embed access-centerness in institutional pedagogy, support services, and DEIA implementation.
