RHC Accessibility Training on MS Word

It all starts in Word. Learning the basics of MS word accessibility is an important step before creating documents into different file formats, which leads to universal design and inclusive instruction for all learners.
This session covers basic accessibility best practices for Microsoft Word. Participants will have the opportunity to work though common accessibility features in Word, such as creating alternate text, making links accessible, and using proper color contrast for learners to distinguish text from the background.

- Creating accessible links
- Writing appropriate alternate text
- Using heading styles
- Using formatted lists
- Using properly formatted tables
- Testing color contrast
- Additional Section 508 criteria for Word documents
