The LGBTQ Center in Long Beach

BIENESTAR
BIENESTAR is a unique, non-profit organization that advocates for human rights and social justice on a local, statewide and national level and serves the. It empowers clients to participate through community mobilization and to become “agents of change”, thereby building awareness of critical issues, policies and legislation that require political action and funding. BIENESTAR is an organization that supports the well-being of the LGBTQ community by providing HIV testing, mental health, counseling, support groups. There are nine Southern California community centers strategically located in Los Angeles, Riverside and San Bernardino counties.

The Lesbian, Gay, Bi & Transgender Community Organization’s mission is to provide a focal point for the members of our community in the South Bay for education, social interaction, personal growth, and political power, and to foster public understanding of our community. The South Bay LGBTQ Center also has a Q Faith Community started as a response to the overt (and subtle) prejudice, judgment & exclusion found within Christianity toward our LGBTQ community.
