What is Enlace?
Enlace is a Title V grant-funded program sponsored by the U.S. Department of Education to promote the degree attainment of STEM students at Río Hondo College. All current Rio Hondo College STEM students are encouraged to sign-up for the Enlace email listserv to stay updated about future activities and relevant STEM student success resources.
What types of activities does Enlace sponsor?
- Support via the STEM Student Success Team, including referrals to on-campus resources to promote your success as a student
- An annual Discover STEM Conference which invites local high school and current Río Hondo College students interested in learning about STEM academic and career pathways
- Paid undergraduate research opportunities for Río Hondo STEM students
- Paid internship opportunities for Río Hondo STEM students
- Leadership Academy for STEM students
- Supplemental Instruction available to all students in select math and natural sciences courses
- Supplemental support for students participating in Río Hondo’s summer bridge program who are interested in pursuing an associate’s degree in STEM
- Faculty development opportunities through Escala Educational Services
- An Annual State of STEM Report highlighting STEM achievements across campus
- Data management support for the campus via Tableau
