On July 16, 2022, the new 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline went live. For those experiencing a mental health crisis, they can call or text 988 to receive 24/7 support and resources. Note: the (800) 273-8255 number remains operational even after the launch of the three-digit number 988, which is modeled after 911.
