Extenuating circumstances require supporting documents such as third-party letters, medical records or other related documents and are not limited to:
- Serious illness, injury or medical condition requiring doctor’s care.
- Death of an immediate family member.
- Extenuating circumstances beyond one’s control.
Only Required If Requested:
- Unofficial Transcripts: Obtain transcripts from Admissions and Records.
- Educational Plan: See a Counselor to receive a full Student Education Plan (SEP).

Fall Semester – Monday after Thanksgiving; Spring Semester – Friday before Spring Break
Appeal Approved
You will receive a contract via student email within 45 days. Final grades will be checked against contract requirements. If you reach a cum 2.0 GPA and pass 67% of all attempted units, no contract needed.
Appeal Denied
You will be notified via student email within 45 days. To appeal decision, reply to email with rationale. If it’s denied again, decision is final. If you reach a cum 2.0 GPA , pass 67% of all attempted units, and are not at 150% of your program, then aid will be reinstated.
