Training for an exciting and rewarding career as a Clinical Medical Assistant has never been easier! In today’s busy medical practices, Clinical Medical Assistants are vital members of the medical team. In this career training program students learn to assist the physician in providing quality patient care. Students learn to obtain patient vital signs, assist with minor medical procedures, perform simple laboratory tests, give injections, perform venipuncture (phlebotomy), administer medications and more. This program includes a 160-hour externship where students are placed in a private practice, clinic or urgent care facility. Tuition also includes CPR certification and National Healthcareer Association (NHA )exam and exam prep materials.
Licensure/Certification
Licensure and certification are not required for employment as a medical assistant in California.
Students will need access to internet, PC, laptop, or tablet, and access to a printer to participate.
Must be 18+ years of age. A high school diploma or GED is required for NHA certification.
