The Associate in Arts in Communication Studies for Transfer (AA-T) Degree is designed for students interested in the study of practice of human communication. It offers students comprehensive knowledge of the nature of communication, including theoretical foundations and applicable skills. Students will develop skills in advocacy, critical thinking, debate, interpersonal communication, oral communication, performance, public speaking, and small group communication. Career opportunities may include: administration, advertising, broadcasting, business communications, consulting, government services, journalism, law, marketing, performance, politics, public relations, sales, teaching, and other professions in which an understanding of and facility with the process of communication is essential.
