At Río Hondo, we’ll examine the science of welding in group lectures and practice the craft in our on-site lab. Our industry-expert instructors will teach you to use and care for welding materials and tools. You’ll learn welding fundamentals and how to work safely and communicate effectively on a job site. Coursework That Sparks Success
The Río Hondo College Career and Workforce Education Department’s welding and testing lab is conveniently authorized as a Los Angeles testing facility for the Certified Welder Practical Exam in structural steel and structural steel light gauge. That means you can complete your structural steel testing in a space you’re already familiar with!
Río Hondo’s courses will equip you with all the job-related skills needed for advanced welding. The skills acquired during class will prepare you to take and pass the Los Angeles City Certified Welder Exam, which also aligns with American Welding Society standards.
