Río Hondo’s Pathway to Law School exists to give underrepresented college students a future in law. Students get a comprehensive view of law schools and legal careers.

Our expert faculty members offer individual counseling and mentoring. You’ll receive learning, internship, and networking opportunities from lawyers and attorneys. At the end of your journey at Río Hondo, you’ll be prepped for transfer to a pre-law program at any accredited university.

The Pathway to Law School Certificate is issued by California LAW Pathways. This certificate is part of a larger program that involves community colleges, four-year universities, and various law schools.

Ideally, students will spend two years at Río Hondo College, transfer to any accredited undergraduate institution to complete their bachelor’s degree, and then be considered for priority admission to a participating law school.
