Training day includes six (6) hours of ACT and two (2)  hours of Tactical communications (8 hrs. total). The class fulfills the POST PSP requirement for these subject areas.

Course includes warm-up exercises, use of force issues, case law review, foot work balance, control holds, unknown risk handcuffing techniques, practical application and remedial instruction if needed. Gun belts and gym attire required.

POST PLAN II, Travel and per diem, backfill reimbursement.

The course is an eight (8) hour course designed to meet the P.O.S.T mandated requirements of perishable skills and is a bi-annual requirement for all law enforcement officers. This course provides classroom instruction in traffic stop procedures, emergency driving and vehicle pursuits as well as practice driving on a driving simulator utilizing scenarios which test decision making and defensive driving skills. Force Options provides the student with practice handling volatile situations, and the use of proper force options which are available. The training goal is to reduce deaths, injuries, liability costs and improve safety overall for California Law Enforcement personnel and to the public.

Tuition is paid under POST contract to all full-time Peace Officers in the POST reimbursable program and meets perishable skills. Backfill approved, P.O.S.T plan II.

POST regulations require newly-appointed FTO’s to complete a 40 hours POST-certified Field Training Officer Course prior to training new officers.  This course fulfills this requirement.

Backfill approved, POST PLAN II and Per Diem.

POST regulations require every Field Training Officer to complete 24 hours of update training every three years following completion of the Field Training Officer Course. This course fulfills this requirement. This 24-hour course is designed to update the experience Field Training Officer (FTO) who has previously attended the FTO course.

This course is for police personnel who have been appointed to the rank of Sergeants or those who are next in line to become a Sergeant. The elements of Supervision are explained and oriented to police use and methodology. Leadership, motivation, communication and techniques of teaching are presented. Other topics include, problem solving, stress management, liability, discipline, and critical incident management.
