Welcome to the Administration of Justice and Fire Technology Division at Rio Hondo College. We offer students the ability to obtain different levels of education and training. Be it in the form of an Associate of Science Degree, a Certificate of Achievement, or work related training opportunities. Students will learn, obtain, train, and apply traits that will allow them to seek employment in different areas of the public or private sector. It will also provide those already employed re-training or first-hand, hands on training to help them move up in their field of work.

OUR LOCATIONS
THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE BUILDING
Most commonly referred to as “AJ”, is located on the lower level of parking lot 2A at Rio Hondo College. At the entrance of the building stands a memorial wall honoring fallen officers for both Police and Fire who have lost their lives in the line of duty. The area houses the Administrative Offices for the Division, faculty offices, the Police Academy program and their offices, as well as classrooms, a spacious mat room, and a gym used for a variety of training opportunities.

THE ADMINISTRATION OF JUSTICE – ANNEX
Referred to as “AJ ANNEX”, is located to the east of the AJ building and can only be accessed while on North Drive and turning onto the side road, Canyon Drive. The curvy road will lead you down and then up the hill, until you come to an open area where you’ll find offices, classrooms, a mat room and gym. This facility houses our Advance Officer Training Program and the Firing Range, which facilitate trainings for State, local and federal officers. Throughout the year the Wildland Fire program will also conduct their trainings in this area.
Parking in this area is for program use only and strictly enforced.
THE SANTA FE SPRINGS REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER
Is one of two (2) of our off-campus locations that houses our Fire Academy, it is located in the city of Santa Fe Springs. In this area you will find the administrative offices for the Fire Academy, faculty offices, classrooms, a mat room, a gym, and a large outdoor training area that houses a multitude of disaster simulations/fields such as ladder evolutions, trench rescue, live fire training, rope rescue, confined space, and much more.

THE SOUTH WHITTIER EDUCATIONAL CENTER
Which is also referred to as SWEC, is our second and most recently acquired off-campus location. The site houses our Forensic and Crime Scene Investigations Lab. It is conveniently located near the corner of Telegraph and Colima Road. This building will soon house more of our expanding Divisional program needs so stay tuned!
