Application for Upper Division Standing

Summer/Fall 2025

If you are a new or returning student, you must have a Río Hondo College Student ID before you submit your application for the Bachelor of Science in Automotive Technology Program. Please complete all 3 steps below to apply.

  • If you do not meet the minimum requirements for admission into upper-division courses, please contact our CTE counselors to schedule an appointment at (562) 908-3460.

Step 1: Apply to Río Hondo College

You must apply to Río Hondo College if you are not a current student. New students will receive their student identification number once the application is processed.

Step 2: Supplemental Application

Complete the supplemental application

You will need your Río Hondo College Student ID in order to submit the supplemental application and unofficial copy of all your college transcripts.

Step 3: Mail Official Transcripts

If you attended any previous higher education institutions, please request official transcripts to be delivered directly from your previous institution to Río Hondo College. Official transcripts are required for you to start the upper division program.
