Do I need a parking permit?
Free parking is available to everyone attending EMEC. Disabled parking spaces are directly in front of the campus, but you must have a current disabled parking placard to park in these spaces.

What classes are offered at EMEC?
EMEC offers a variety of general education courses which are required to earn a degree and/or transfer to a university. We also offer continuing education courses, at least one each semester, and Foster/Kinship offers parenting classes in Spanish.

Is there a shuttle to the main campus?
A shuttle to the main campus is unavailable at this time.

Does EMEC offer evening classes?
Yes, EMEC offers evening classes during the Fall and Spring semesters.

What bus can I take from EMEC to the main campus?
From EMEC, you can walk to the bus stop on the northeast corner of Tyler Avenue and Garvey Avenue, get on the Foothill Transit Bus Line 486, and get off at Peck Road. On Peck Road, get on the Metro Bus Line 270 to Río Hondo College.

Where can I get something to eat near here?
There are many fast-food restaurants within walking distance or approximately a five-minute drive.

Does EMEC have a place to study?
Yes, EMEC has both a lab with computers and study space in our Administration Office. Please call us at (626) 443-8932 for specific times needed. Our support staff will answer any questions. EMEC also offers an instructional assistant to help you with most of your academically-related concerns (e.g., paper review and editing, research help, and computer issues.

Can I print out my class assignment?
Yes, students can print up to 10 pages for class assignments in the Administration Office.
