Public transportation

Students can access free or low-cost public transit through the GO RIO program. Río Hondo College is pleased to offer the GO RIO U-Pass in partnership with multiple bus lines.

Students may use Google Maps which provides public transportation information or plan their route by using Metro.net. For more information on the GO RIO program please visit the GCR Office located in the Campus Inn, Room 169 or call (562) 463-7268.

For convenience Río Hondo’s main campus has a TRAM service that runs Monday-Friday with four pickup and drop-off points.

Access Services is the Los Angeles County paratransit service for door-to-door transportation for qualified persons with a disability. Students must qualify for this service by contacting Access Services.

Parking

Visitors on campus may obtain temporary parking permits at the Parking Information Booth located off College Drive to the left at Parking Lot 2 of the lower level parking stalls or a Day parking permit from one of the three dispensers on campus.

Student parking permits can be purchased online via the Permit Store.
