The Río Hondo College Foundation has several programs to help communities and support students through scholarships, educational resources, and initiatives that promote academic success and personal growth.

Hope Housing Pilot

Río Hondo College, in partnership with Whittier College, operates a pilot housing program for unhoused transitionally aged youth.

Pritzker Foster Care Initiative

The Pritzker Foster Care Initiative, through the support of the Anthony and Jeanne Pritzker Family Foundation, has been able to support 130-160 current and former foster youth per semester.

Radical Librarianship Institute ‘Zine Outreach Project

Librarian Claudia Rivas is one of only 25 individuals selected to participate in the inaugural cohort of the Radical Librarianship Institute at UCLA California Rare Book School (CRBS).

STEAM Festival

Through the STEAM Festival, Río Hondo faculty expose local K-12 students to STEAM activities to raise educational aspirations and introduce students to the college environment.
