Río Hondo College’s Automotive Technology Program meets strict industry standards and is NATEF/ASE “Master” certified. Nationwide, only a small percentage of educational institutions achieve this certification in all eight automotive specialty areas and Alternative Fuels.

Qualified instructors

The members of our instructional staff have extensive industry experience and factory training. All instructors are certified by the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE).

Degrees

The Associate of Science in Automotive Technology has been accredited by the Association of Technology, Management and Applied Engineering for the time period of November 2016-November 2020.

Certificates of achievement

The instruction, course of study, facilities, and equipment of the institution, have been evaluated by the National Automotive Technicians Education Foundation and meet the standards of quality for the training of automobile technicians through February 2018.

The Automotive Technology Programs prepare students for a variety of internship opportunities, these opportunities can be at large auto manufactures as well as local dealerships.

BMW STEP and Apprentice Programs
