If your income was $67,000 or less in 2024, you may qualify for free, professional tax preparation and electronic filing services for federal and state returns. See flyer for details. Our trained volunteers ensure your taxes are completed accurately and efficiently at no cost to you.
Additionally, you may be eligible for valuable tax credits, including the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC) and the California Earned Income Tax Credit (CalEITC). The CSU5 + VITA Clinics are dedicated to helping Californians maximize their refunds and secure their CalEITC benefits.

The Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program is a certificate program offered in conjunction with the IRS and the California Franchise Tax Board.
Students who complete this program can volunteer to participate in the college’s VITA days, assisting community customers in filing their state and federal income tax returns.
